Terms and Conditions
Carefully read the below terms and conditions of this agreement.
By submitting an order and selecting the required acknowledgement of these terms and conditions through Poppy Gowns and completing payment, you agree to be bound by the terms set forth below.
Rentals
I acknowledge that all items listed the Poppy Gowns website, unless otherwise stated, are for rental purposes only and not for the purchase of ownership. Items on the Poppy Gowns website should only be rented by individuals of legal age, who may purchase with a credit card or other legal form of tender. By placing an order to rent any item from Poppy Gowns, I agree and understand that Poppy Gowns remains the other of such item and must be returned upon demand.
Fees and Other Payment Options
The costs of the items, including the cost to rent the gown and daily rentals cost(s), listed on the Poppy Gowns site is the total rental fee. Upon submitting your order, you authorize us to charge the rental fee onto your selected form of tender. A reservation to rent one of our items through Poppy Gowns website is an order for the rental of that item, regardless of how far in advance you make your reservation. In addition, upon the completion of your rental purchase, you hereby authorize Poppy Gowns to charge your selected form of tender for up to 200% retail value (when necessary ie: damaged apparel) of that item (when new) at acquisition, plus sales taxes (“retail value”); provided that we will only make charges in the circumstances set forth herein.
We currently accept payments through PayPal and all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover) through Stripe.
If you happen to be using the eCheck feature, please note that there is a slight delay in bank transfers and may affect when your lacquers will be shipped.
Rescheduling
You must request reschedule no later than twenty (20) days before the rental start date as this will allow another person time to rent the gown. If the request is granted, the rental fee will be applied to a mutually agreed upon rescheduled date. If rescheduling occurs less than twenty (20) days, a rescheduling fee of $25 will be imposed.Â
Reschedule requests after a dress has been shipped will be charged the full amount of the rental.
Extensions
If an extension of your rental may be accommodated. If a request is needed, please send us an email at poppygowns@gmail.com or DM us on Instagram @poppygowns. If an extension can be accommodated, we will invoice you separately based on the number of days the rental is extended at a rate of $50/day. If an extension is not available due to another pending reservation, we will require that you return your rental item at the originally expected time.
Cancellations
Should you find that you need to cancel your rental reservation, please send us an email at poppygowns@gmail.com or DM us on Instagram @poppygowns. Cancellation requests must be made no later than twenty (20) days before your rental start date to allow another to rent the gown.
We will issue a credit for the full rental fee of the item(s) minus shipping charges for a future rental by you of our item(s). If you prefer a refund instead of a credit, then 50% will be refunded.Â

Shipping and Delivery
Shipping costs, including return shipping, are included in the costs of the rental item. We will package and ship your rental with an appropriate shipping provider with delivery between 2-3 business days and leaving you with enough time with your rental before your selected start date. Please note that if your rental arrives early, this will not affect your rental start date and/or timeline to return your rental.
Please note that once we deposit your rental package with the appropriate shipping carrier, we are no longer in control of the timing of when you’ll receive your rental. That’s why we’ll try to ship your rental item as early as possible to you. If you do not receive your rental item at least one day before your start date, please send us an email at poppygowns@gmail.com or DM us on Instagram @poppygowns immediately.
Cleaning, Repair & Replacement
Upon receipt of your rented items, we will inspect the items to ensure that they are in good condition and are not in need of cleaning, repair, and/or replacement. All payments for repair, replacement and or additional cleaning fees should be made through Stripe. Any damages found to the apparel upon arrival at the delivery address should be photo documented and sent to poppygowns@gmail.com.
